  • For Up-to Date Information on  Fire Incidents or other heplful information please check out their website: www.ocfa.org
  • Our city contracts  for fire protection and paramedic services through OCFA. Our affiliation with a larger department gives us the benefit of excellent, up-to-date equipment and firefighter/ paramedic training. The OCFA values excellence and is dedicated to providing the best service to the communities they serve.  Each community has unique characteristics that are challenging. We are a long narrow community and we have a railroad system that traverses along our southern border.
  • We have a Joint Powers Agreement with surrounding cities, therefore fire service personnel cross city/county boundary lines when responding to fire and paramedic emergencies. This allows the company that is closest to the emergency to respond  and provide service quickly. Additionally, OCFA has a cohesive relationship with entities such as the railroad and utility companies. In case of an emergency where information is needed quickly to respond in an appropriate manner, they are able to quickly able to determine the contents of any of the rail cars in in the event of a  derailment or other disaster.
OCFA has a training facility in Irvine that is state-of-the-art where they hold regular disaster drills and practice what the appropriate response would be to a variety of  emergency situations.
