As we celebrate Memorial Day in Yorba Linda, we reflect on how blessed we are to live in Yorba Linda and this Nation. During the Yorba Linda Memorial Day Celebrations, we will take time this weekend to recognize those who have served in our armed forces, are currently serving and to honor our fallen heroes. They have and continue to protect our freedom and liberty. We owe them our gratitude and respect.
There are two events occurring in Yorba Linda at the Yorba Linda Veterans Memorial on May 31:
At 8 am, the Patriot Riders, a motorcycle contingent, will stage in Yorba Linda at the Yorba Linda Veteran’s Memorial. Riders from many different communities, including Fontana, Barstow, Long Beach, San Diego, Temecula and Simi Valley will stage in their respective community. After a brief ceremony in each location, the riders will ride to March Air Reserve Base Exchange (BX) parking lot 23640 N Street Riverside CA for final staging. Once all groups have assimilated, they will ride to Riverside National Cemetery to participate in their Memorial Day Program. There are NO sign up Fees and everyone is welcome. Food, Drinks, Patches, and Tee shirts available from various vendors at the BX Parking lot staging area. The vendors will open at 0800 for those that would rather ride directly to the March BX parking lot. Even if you are not planning on joining in the ride, please come to the park to wish them well on their ride and honor those who have served in our armed forces.
At 2 PM, the Yorba Linda Memorial Day Ceremony, will be held at the Yorba Linda Veterans Memorial. Four additional Gold Star Bricks will be laid, honoring our local fallen heroes along with a brick honoring Paul Armstrong. During the ceremony, all names of our fallen heroes will be called-out. Please come and show your support for our local heroes and their families and the men and women who have served or are currently serving our Country. Seating is limited so bring your lawn chairs.

Jan,
The Java with Jan outreach is a great opportunity to connect with the community, unfortunately holding it on a Friday morning means that most working adults will be excluded.
How about a Fri, Sat, Sun early eve?
What would be a good time for you and your family?
