Here is his response: Due to the economy "their project has stalled, they have not been able to make the payment to SCE for the pole relocations. It will take at least one year from the time that payment is made to relocate the power poles. At this point it would appear that it will be three years before we see any activity in the area depending on the economy. We could go after the improvement bonds, but that would seriously affect the Church’s ability to bond again or to complete their project. Completing that segment in front of the church now would not improve the traffic flow as there is still one property that prevents the lanes from extending through the area. This is why we have not aggressively pursued that direction." In light of this, I appreciate your concerns and ask your patience during this difficult economic time. What is going on with the Baptist Friendship Church? There hasa been NO activity or improvements for more than a year. The same tumbleweeds and dirty corner @ Bastanchury and Imperial is still there. When will something be done to improve the looks of that corner? This is my second request for info on this project.
